MIND NOTE (2025)

As a child, action figures gave me a way to express creativity and process anxieties I couldn’t yet name. That early connection to miniatures has evolved into a photographic practice rooted in myth, memory, and dream. Using small-scale figures and constructed sets, I recreate the dreams, nightmares, and traumatic experiences that have shaped me blurring the line between lived reality and subconscious imagery. Inspired in part by the visual language of war photography, my work stages intimate, psychological narratives within miniature worlds. Through both photography and illustration, I build a hybrid graphic novel that extends beyond what the camera can capture, revealing emotional undercurrents and imagined moments. By transforming internal landscapes into physical scenes, I use creative play as a way to confront fear and reclaim control inviting viewers to consider how imagination itself can become a tool for processing anxiety and reshaping personal history.
